The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Fighters Group

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a colorful mix of heroes, and a thrilling plot showcasing celestial beings, demons, and dark forces increasing in strength within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure follow below.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of heroes who will separate from the main group to embark on their own adventure, distinct from the remaining groups.

This warrior group includes Teor (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

With an extensive roster, it was obvious from the outset that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before dividing into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who are drawn to a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Initially, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the actions of episode 3 show why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose death started the narrative’s action—manipulated the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, attacking the character, and swiping all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

Casimir then settled his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd close behind.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each member has a individual motive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and best friend, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan knows the region and advises that it is a nasty location.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their status as important members in the influential clan could help the team reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Additionally, The grateful character pledged a life debt to The cleric for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the authorities that control the city for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and Wicander defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the family.

This leaves them few options but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around next week, leaving the remaining eight cast members to assemble the Questers and Schemers groups.

Viewers can anticipate finding out which players will be in which group in the season’s final introductory chapter, released on next week.
