AC Shadows Unveils Bizarre AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a surprising collaboration that defies usual expectations, the game developer has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Uncovered
According to the official release, "An unusual meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of forbidden rituals and monstrous changes echo through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden cult.
The questline concentrates on "bizarre trials and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Bonus Content
Players who finish the mission will receive an special katana in addition to several artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

Latest Free Story Content
This patch also brings the game's third free story episode, titled "A Puzzlement." The series formerly featured a 2020 cross-promotional story connecting Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
